How My Night In A Night Club Gave Me A Money Making Idea!

I recently celebrated my 45^th birthday … and for a laugh (although I wasn’t when I found out) my so-called friends decided to take me to our local night club.

What an eye-opener! It was the first time I’ve stepped into such a place for over 15 years.

The first thing that struck me was how loud the music was, so loud in fact that I couldn’t hear a word my friends where saying to me.

The DJ was dancing wildly behind his equipment, not saying a word just playing record after record – sorry I meant tune after tune.

I thought to myself what an easy job that must be – especially as the requirement of a night club DJ has changed so much. In my day, the DJ had to be a personality who spoke to the crowd and entertained them with his jokes, games and of course the music.

Now, it seems you just have to play music and not say a word.

Anyway, I lasted till after midnight so I must have enjoyed it a little, but I don’t think I’ll be going back again!

A few days later, I happened to be talking to someone at my local gym who actually knew the DJ from the night club. During our conversation I mentioned how easy his job was just playing music all night, and the guy said that although he gets a decent wage each night - £120.00 - it’s nothing compared to what he earns from his other job.

“His other job” I said, “tell me more” … well, I learnt that the DJ ran a ‘How To Be A DJ’ course where he taught world-be DJ’s the art of becoming a night club DJ.

I further learnt that he has about 5 people attend his course and charges £200.00. So he is taking £1,000 from each course day …. And he runs 10 of these days per month!

That’s £10,000 per month he is taking and his costs are very low as they turn up his home where he has some equipment and does the course from there.

He gets most of his bookings from facebook so his marketing costs are very low too.

Now DJing may not be your thing, but it proves that many of us know a skill that others would live to learn – and pay for the teaching.

Piano teachers have been going for years, but there are now so many other skills that people what to learn – cooking is another that’s very popular, but what if you knew bricklaying, tree surgery, painting, craft making … the list is endless.

I’ve even had experience myself, a few years ago I ran a seminar on how to run a mail order company - as I ran one for over 10 years.

I charged £1,000 and within a month I had taught 120 people – taking £120,000.

After costs and marketing, I walked away with £97,000 for one months work!

So have a think about a skill you might know, and you never know, you could be running a very success teaching course yourself.

The Secrets To Building A List Within 45 Days

Here’s one of the biggest mistakes many people new to IM make.

They start off by promoting a product to earn affiliate commission. This product - usually a clickbank ebook- is then promoted by creating Google Adwords which sends paid-for traffic direct to the product sales literature … and then keeping their fingers crossed hoping that a good number buy the product … earning them maybe £12.00 per affiliate sale.

What’s more, many so-called IM gurus actually recommend this method of earning money online. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you’ll not make money this way - many people do and are quite happy - what I want to do is change the way you look at making money online.

The most important point is to look at making money online as a long-term venture where you first lay the foundations and gradually build upon your early work.

This means that when you first start out, you don’t look to make sales, you concentrate on building.

This was one of the best pieces of advice that I received when I first started selling online back in 2007, and it has enabled me to earn £1,000+ ($2,000+) per week online.

If you want to earn the biggest amount of money online, then the most effective way to achieve this is by list building.

Whatever niche you are involved in, your ultimate aim is to build a subscriber list and nurture it.

If you spend your time building a list instead of acquiring sales, in the long-term you’ll make much more money.

So instead of sending traffic - whether it be paid-for or organic (seo) - direct to an affiliate sales page, you need to send traffic to a squeeze page and then to the merchants sales page.

It’s the same if you write an article or have links for affiliate products on blogs or on a squidoo lens, you replace the link with a squeeze page link where you’ll collect visitors information, and then send them to the affiliate merchants sales page.

Doing this allows you to build up a relationship with your subscribers and you can gradually encourage them to purchase the product that you were linking to.

At first you’ll make less sales using this method as opposed to sending traffic direct to the sales page, but you’ll build up a valuable list that over time, you can sell your own products, affiliate products and get involved in Joint Ventures.

I know of three successful online marketers who never advertise their products. They spend all their efforts on building their lists, then sending some free information over a two week period (nurturing), then sending them details of one of their products … and repeating the process over over.

Every month they each make over £5,000 using this method and it all runs on autopilot.

Each of their messages are sent automatically, their products are downloadable meaning they don’t need to deal with sales - just bank the money.

So I hope I’ve convinced you that list building is the way to go for long-term online riches.

So your next step is to actually start to build up your list.

The methods I’m going to describe to you enabled me to add over 1,000 names to my list within 45 days, so copy everything I’ve done and you too should be able to build a substantial list.

Firstly, you need a email responder service that collects all your subscribers, allows you to send them messages and allows the subscriber to change their details, or op out of your list and ensures the subscriber double opt-in to protect you from accusations of spamming.

Double opt-in simply means the subscriber filled out their details on the squeeze page, and then confirmed their subscription within a separate email message.

There are four services that are the best for these functions.

1. Aweber -
2. Get Response - http://www.getresponse.com
3. X Mail Pro - www.xmailpro.com
4. List Mail Pro - www.listmailpro.com

I use Aweber for my lists and messages as it is said to be the best available for delivery and reliability, so everything I describe applies to Aweber, however the other services provide a very similar service.

Your next step is create a squeeze page that will be used to build up your list.

This will be a page that collects a subscribers name and email address and will then forward them onto a sales page or simply a thank you page.

Here’s an example of one of my squeeze pages:

If you take a look at my squeeze page it contains the following:

1. An attention grabbing heading
2. A list of benefits that the subscriber will receive if they subscribe
3. Boxes for the subscriber to enter their details

Remember you are trying to build up your email list, so take your time creating the squeeze page.

You need to make your offer so irresistible that people will instantly subscribe to your list.

To do this, rather than simply send the subscriber to a sales page, I offer some information, report or ebook.

Now the easiest way to do this is to buy a cheap ebook from ebay.co.uk with resell rights and give this away in exchange for someone subscribing to your list.

For example, your niche could be the car service market.

So you go to ebay purchase an ebook on easy home car servicing and offer this as your free ebook.

I do this all the time. I’ve hundreds of ebooks in my files and I simply create a squeeze page offering free ebooks whenever someone subscribers.

So, to recap,

1. You’ve decided which email list responder service you’ll use - I use aweber.com
2. You’ve created your squeeze page
3. You’ve got the free information ready to give away to your subscribers

Now what you need to do is insert the boxes in your squeeze page where your subscribers can place their name and address.

In Aweber, you simply create a list name - for example Car Service, and then you go to “list settings” then “web form” and you can create a form.

It only needs to be a basic form that contains “First Name” and “Email Address”.

Aweber has a default “thank you” page whenever someone subscribers.

What I do is create my own thank you page telling the subscriber that they will receive an email straight away and that they need to confirm their subscription so that I can send them the free information.

I paste this URL in the thank you section, so now whenever anyone subscribes, they are sent to this page.

Once you’ve created the form, copy the script into your squeeze page.

Now what you need to do is put the ebook on another page within your website, and copy the URL for this ebook.

For example: www.mysite.co.uk/freebook.html

Then you go back to your email list service and create your first message. Remember to include the URL for the free ebook.

So your first message will say something like:

“Welcome to the car maintenance newsletter.

You’ll receive lots of free helpful advice on how to keep your car running smoothly on the road.

Here’s your free ebook that you can download, it contains loads of great advice on home car servicing:

And that’s it, you’ve created your squeeze page and set up your email service responder.

Now it’s onto driving traffic to your squeeze page.

There are a number of ways in which you can drive traffic to your squeeze page.

The obvious ones are setting up Google adwords and directing visitors to your squeeze page, or from offline advertising such as press adverts.

However, what I want to reveal to you are the free ways in which you can direct traffic to your site.

Here are my 13 top ways to create free traffic to your squeeze page:

1. Write and submit articles to the article directories with a link back to your squeeze page such as ezinearticles.com

2. Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your squeeze page.

3. Post in forums and have a link to your squeeze page in your signature.

4. Write a press release and submit it to www.PRWeb.com.

5. Advertise your website in the appropriate category on www.CraigsList.com.

6. Give an unbiased testimonial on a product/service that you have used in exchange for a backlink to your squeeze page.

7. Start a blog that mentions your squeeze page at www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com and submit it to the 100’s of free blog directories.

8. Manually submit your wsqueeze page URL to the major search engines.

9. Optimize each of your squeeze pages for a particular keyword or search phrase.

10. Add a link in your email signature to your squeeze page. It’s a free and easy way to get a little more traffic.

11. Submit a video with your squeeze page link contained within the video to www.YouTube.com

12. Place classified ads on www.eBay.co.uk with a link to your squeeze.

13. Start a lens on www.Squidoo.com. and mention your squeeze page.

I use every one of these traffic generator methods and receive 100's of free traffic per week to my different squeeze pages which enables me to collect 100 - 200 email addresses per week.

Follow my methods and you'll start to build a very profitable list that will reward you over and over again.

Remember, don't start trying to sell to your list, gradually nurture it, give away lots of free information and ebooks, and then once you are ready to sell a product, your list will be much more receptacle to all your offers.

How To Create CD,s, DVD,s And Audio Products

If you sell CD's, DVD's and audio products then I'm sure you'll want to use the cheapest option to duplicate your products and post them out.

You have two options:

1. Outsource the duplication

2. Duplicate and fulfil the orders yourself

I use both methods for different products that I sell and here's where I get equipment and the outsourcing.

Let's start with option 1 - Outsourcing.

I use Kunaki



You simply upload the product (your master copy) and the insert design and Kunaki with create as many CD's or DVD's as you require.

Their prices and delivery are very cheap.

If you are in the UK, then it costs about £3.00 each for a CD/DVD duplicated, the CD/DVD printed, a colour insert, a CD/DVD case and posted to a UK address.

This is fantastic value!

Option 2 - Fulfilling the orders yourself.

As I said earlier, I fulfil a number of my orders and to do this I use a duplication machine, a CD/DVD printer and I supply the products in cases.

I get all my equipment from River Pro Audio.

Here's How To Make £20,000

Here's how YOU can make £20,000 within 2 months!

It's by using a system called calls "funnel Process".

And here's how it works:

You start off with a reasonably priced product - for example £67.00. This is called your front end product.

You market this product heavily to attract as many buyers as possible. You are not looking to make a profit on this product - breaking even would be a bonus - what you want to do is build up a database of RED HOT buyers.

So let's say, you managed to sell 1,000 of your front end products.

Two Of My Very Successful Email Marketing Techniques

As I’m sure many of you know, list building should be one of your main priorities to ensure continued success for your online and offline business.

I spend a lot of my time trying/testing new list building techniques, and it’s something you need to do too.

If you have not already opened a list / autoresponder account – I use Aweber - you can try Mailchimp where you can send email messages to 1,000 subscribers free of charge.



So, once you have a list / autoresponder account, you can embark on the list building process.

And to help you further, I’m going to share with you two of my most successful techniques.

The first is to attract people to opt-in to your list, and the second is for when you send out email messages to your subscribers to encourage them to buy one of your products.

Here’s the first techniques which I call:

The Short Course

This is basically what it sounds like – a short course you send to people usually over the period of a few days who have opted into your list.

If you’ve opted into my list, you’ll know that I first send out a 7 part course describing a very simple – but effective – method of creating an online income stream.

Each new part is sent daily for 7 days.

The reason this is so effective is because it makes subscribers actively look out for your messages each day.

What I also do is reveal information each day and then add something like:

“And tomorrow I’ll be explaining how to put these methods into action to increase your online income, so look out for me email tomorrow”

This ensures that a lot of my subscribers get into the habit of looking out for my email as I’ve built up the anticipation.

It also helps build a strong relationship with your subscribers in a short space of time.

So rather than send an ebook or some one-off information to anyone who opts-in to your list, send them a course on a daily basis, and each day make sure you tell your subscribers to look out for your next message.

Here’s my second technique which I call:

My Best Method For Getting Subscribers To Click On Your Sales Links.

As you continue to send messages to your subscribers you’ll want to add product links within your messages.

And you want to get a large number of your subscribers clicking on a product link within your email message and then hopefully making a purchase.

This is a simple technique that I use which can drastically increase your link clicks.

Here’s how it works …

You send subscribers a short message giving a little information about the niche subject you are involved in.

Then you include a link within the email message that provides even more information for your subscriber.

The subscriber then clicks the link for more information which takes them to a webpage where the extra information is contained …. AND on this page you include a promotion link for a product or service you are offering.

I tend to use this method when I’ve recorded a video – but it works just as well if you only have text information.

I send an email to my subscribers with a little information, and add some text like this:

“I’ve recorded a video showing you step-by-step how to put this technique into action, simply click the link below to watch the video”.

The subscriber is then taken to a webpage which has the video, and on that page I promote one of my products that has a connection to the information contained within the video.

This method works very well because you are not selling anything directly in your email message – you just supply content – and you only add product links within the page that the reader has visited.

I’ve been using this method effectively for quite a while now. It has led to me having top-quality email open rates and a high percentage of clicked links - both are well above the industry average.

This method works because people don’t feel like they are being sold to. If you constantly sell to people in your emails, your subscriber turnover rate will be very high.

If you offer quality content to your subscriber within every email message, people are more likely to look forward to your messages and interact with them regularly.

These are two very powerful methods you can use to greatly improve your email marketing efforts. Using these methods will help build your authority, get you more subscribers, build up a better relationship with your customers, and get your more sales.

Just make sure that whatever you post on the blog it is related to the product you are promoting and not telling everyone what you had for dinner last night.

Little tip that you should follow: make sure you have your affiliate link in the top left corner as it is the most viewed and most clicked part of the blog. So if you create a little adwords style ad for the product you are promoting then there is the place to put it.

If you have an ebook to sell online, then to keep everything automated, the ebook needs to be stored online ready to be downloaded by your customers.

How To Successfully Run An Online Business

When you run an online business, it's important to use you time well ... or you'll end up getting bogged down and not actually achieving much in the way of income generation.

Here's what I do ...

I spend a large proportion of my daily work day building lists.

This involves using many different methods and techniques. Some days I can add over 300 names to my lists, but I usually attract around 150 - 200 new names each day that are added to my different lists.

I now have over 52,000 names on my main list.

My lists are loaded with autoresponse messages - these are a mixture of quality relevant information and sales messages.

This means that a lot of my weekly income is generated automatically, and with the many different products that I have - priced between £27.00 and £997 - my weekly income is substantial.

Another task that I spend a lot of my time on is developing/creating new products.

Once you build a list - it's a numbers game - the more products you have the more sales you make.

So I try and create a new product every 10 days or so. I create products for a lot of different niches that I'm involved in - not just the “make money online” niche.

For example, last month I created a guide for expectant mothers on what they’ll go through and what they need to know during delivery and the first days after giving birth.

Most of this information came from a couple of Pregnancy books that I bought at a car boot sale and some internet research.

It took me a couple of days to create a 45 page ebook guide and I offered it to my list of 862 people on my pregnancy related list.

I sold 26 ebooks at £19.97 each, netting me £519.22. I’ll probably sell a further 20 or so copies with a couple more email promotions.

Once I have the paypal proof of selling 50 or so copies of this ebook, I’ll offer the resell rights for the ebook to my list of resell right buyers that I’ve built.

I’ll charge £297.00 for the resell rights and sell 10 copies and earn £2,970.00.

Then a few weeks later I’ll offer the master resell rights to the 10 buyers and I’ll get the 2 sales that I’ll be looking for.

I’ll sell the master rights for £997.00 each.

Master Resell Rights enable the holder to sell the product and also sell the resell rights of the product to others.

So that pregnancy ebook will net me around £6,000 in total.

All this marketing was free as I promoted each of the offers to my different lists using email.

I know I’ll get the number of sales quoted because I do this every month, and the sales are consistent.

If you can get into the habit of always looking at ways to build your list and creating new products … you’ll start to enjoy a fantastic lifestyle.

There are some people who do what I do and earn £20,000+ per month!
